Guy Wiltshear is the firm’s senior and managing partner, having practised as a solicitor for more than 30 years. He has a varied background, training in a large firm in London’s West End, before building experience in Hertfordshire and Cambridge. He first became a partner in 1986 in the Bury St.Edmunds firm of Bankes Ashton, then re-established the firm of Haywards in Stowmarket in 1992. He has been senior partner ever since. Having during his career practised in the fields of criminal, family, personal injury and general civil litigation, he now specialises in particular in probate and associated matters.

Fiona Bailey is Haywards’ senior family law specialist and has worked with Guy Wiltshear since 1988, when she moved from Lancashire to Suffolk. She became a partner at the firm in 1992. She specialises in all aspects of family and childcare work, including matrimonial finance. She is a member of The Law Society’s Family and Children Panels, as well as Resolution, formerly known as The Solicitors Family Law Association. |

Reception duties at 3-5 Buttermarket are headed by Brenda Austin, who has been with the practice since 1985. The Accounts team leader is Mary Hawkins, who joined when Haywards re-established in 1992, and who has Pam Smith as her deputy. Tandine Jasi assists Mary and Pam with their work in the Accounts Department and also assists Brenda on Reception. Becky Welham heads reception duties at 9 Tavern Street and assists the Family and Children Law team with their work. The secretarial team is headed by Kristina Castro Pinto who is our Secretarial Superviser and the team members are Helen Gooding, Gillian Woollard, Beccy Last, Rebecca Coote and Karen Betts.
